I am a former teacher, mom, and travel enthusiast.  Spending time with my family to explore the world brings me the most joy. You never know where I could be teaching from!

For the past several years I have been a third grade teacher.  My greatest passion is working with students who struggle in reading and math and helping them not only reach their goals, but discover their love for learning.

I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with minors in Entrepreneurial Studies and Fine Arts, as well as my certifications in Elementary and Special Education from Seton Hill University.

Our Training Model

All our tutors are trained in Precision Teaching. Why? Because it is an effective way to not only teach your children to read but it is something that children enjoy (half of our students CHOOSE to work with us on their birthdays each year!)

Every child we work with receives loving personalized instruction five days a week. In less than 15 minutes a day, we work through 4 necessary skill areas to quickly bring your child to independent reading.

Consistently, Leaping with Lisa students (including those with dyslexia) move forward at about 3X the rate of average readers. Their progress is monitored daily, enabling you, the parent, to see how they are doing in real-time, and with the average session being 10-15 minutes long, most children really enjoy their Great Leaps time, fostering a love for reading that extends far beyond childhood.
